Katrina

OSI Responded.

“After Hurricane Katrina, we had no communications.  No phones.  No cell phones. No Internet.  The OSI team jumped right in to provide our early communications and became part of our Sheriff Department.  We used everything they had...phone, fax, Internet, everything.  They became an important part of our command center.  In fact, if it wasn't for OSI, I wouldn't have been able to track down my family after the storm.  They are the reason I found my daughter.  There was absolutely nothing like OSI on the ground after the storm and when they left to go help somewhere else, we felt it because no other communications were available.  I personally wouldn't mind if OSI became a permanent fixture down here for when storms like this happen.  I can't tell you what it means to me that these guys showed up and helped out of the goodness of their hearts and made a difference.”

- Sgt. Gregg Hauck, St. Bernard Parish Sheriff Dept., St. Bernard Parish, LA

We were there in just a couple days and took a concept from paper into reality in just about 48 real-time hours. The story will be on the website soon.

Reconnaissance down the coast had numerous challenges. There will be a historical record on the website soon. OSI personnel were teamed with a SWAT team from West Virginia. Those boys were squared away and it was an honor to serve with them!
